There Is Going To Be A Stage Play Based On Bill Finger
If you are a regular reader of this site, you should know the sad tale of Bill Finger. Bill Finger was the uncredited co-creator of Batman. He came up with most of the things that really define Batman, but thanks to some shady maneuvers by Bob Kane, he not only never received recognition for his part in creating one of the most popular comic book characters of all time until just recently, and he never saw a dime of all the money generated by Batman. His story certainly deserves be told, and apparently it is going to be the subject of a stage play.

“Co-Creator” is a play based on Bill Finger’s life written and directed by Lenny Schwartz, and it is premiering April 2nd and runs until April 18th at the The Arctic Playhouse in West Warwick, Rhode Island. Here is a description of the play from the website:
"“Co-Creator” is the story of Bill Finger, the uncredited co-creator of Batman. Finger helped create one of the most popular modern myths with Batman, as well as the Joker, Robin, Gotham City and many others. He died poor and alone, never receiving the recognition he deserved. This is his story."
Sadly, this is a jut a regional show for now, but if it ever comes near our neck of the woods, we’ll be sure to review it! If you are able to get over to the Arctic Playhouse to check it out, you can order tickets here and check out their Facebook page here.
