Two days just isn’t enough for a Wizard World show.

At least it isn’t enough for the company to put on the kind of event it wants, which is why one of the cities that was going to debut on its tour stop for 2015 is having its show pushed back a year. Wizard World announced today that the inaugural Wizard World Comic Con Greenville, which was to take place on May 29-30 had been rescheduled for July 15-17, 2016.
The Greenville stop was originally supposed to be three days, but conflicts at its venue, the TD Convention Center, shrunk it to a two-day affair. With Wizard World feeling that “the fans of Greenville would be best served by a weekend, three-day show for the full Wizard World Comic Con experience,” the decision was made to wait until 2016.
Fans who already ordered tickets, photo ops or autographs will automatically have their money refunded.
Wizard World also issued the following statement about the postponement:
"Wizard World regrets the inconvenience, and would like to thank its partners at the Convention & Visitors Bureau, the staff at the TD Convention Center, and our local hotel partners for facilitating the rescheduling to help ensure the best inaugural Wizard World Comic Con Greenville possible."
Though the move is a bummer for fans in South Carolina, Wizard World still has its most ambitious schedule of cons yet in 2015, with Wizard World Comic Con Raleigh currently underway and 18 more stops before the end of 2015. Head to wizardworlddigital.com for the entire schedule.
