Peter Parker And MJ Reunite In Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows #1
By Nick Tylwalk
If you’re one of the many Spider-Man fans who longs for the era when Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson were husband and wife, you’re going to have your wish granted during Secret Wars. It’s just the situation that comes with having a family again that might not turn out so well for the wall-crawler.

In Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows #1, the A-list team of Dan Slott and Adam Kubert unite to tell a story about Peter Parker, family man. The trouble begins when the Parkers’ modest life is threatened by a villain named Regent, a foe who has been taking out heroes left and right and threatening their entire city.
How far will Peter go to protect his family?
“Father. Husband. Hero. In that order,” Slott said in an interview with Marvel.com. “With great power must also come great responsibility. That’s the horse before the cart. But what happens when you have the greatest responsibility of them all? Having a great power is something you have to share with the world. But what if two people become your whole world? What then? Renew Your Vows. You do NOT want to miss this one.”
Like the best of the other Secret Wars tie-ins, Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows #1 sounds like it will marry (pun intended!) the classic and the heretofore unseen in ways that should excite spider-fans everywhere. Look for it in stores and on digital in June.
