Agents OF SHIELD Synopsis – Season 2, Episode 14: Love In The Time Of Hydra
By Nick Tylwalk
Spring is in the air, as long as you’re not in Pennsylvania where the winter is stubbornly trying to hold on past its expiration date. With spring comes love, even on Agents of SHIELD, apparently.

At least that’s what I take from the title of this week’s new episode, “Love in the Time of Hydra.” To my surprise, that phrase refers to Grant Ward and his weird but budding relationship with Agent 33. What have they been up to, anyway?
A better question might be whether Director Coulson can even do anything about it, seeing as they have moles in their midst, working for the “real SHIELD.” Also there’s that whole deal with Skye and her uncontrollable seismic powers. Not good times. It’s enough to make Coulson wish he was still up late at night doing weird wall carvings, I’d wager.
Anyway, here’s the official synopsis of “Love in the Time of Hydra,” courtesy of Marvel:
"Coulson and his team are still reeling from a shocking revelation that leaves the team fractured as they must decide what to do with one of their own. Meanwhile, Bobbi and Mack reveal their true allegiance to Hunter, while elsewhere, Ward and Agent 33 embark on a personal mission, on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” Tuesday, March 24 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network."
Call me crazy, but I think when the chips are down, Lance is going to side with Coulson against his own ex-wife, as Phil was the first person to show some loyalty to him. I’m not super enthusiastic about this whole angle anyway, seeing as the last part of Season 1 centered on Ward working against SHIELD from the inside, but I’m willing to give it a chance to play out.
Also, a cameo from Hawkeye would win me back over immediately!
We’ll see if that’s in the cards in this week’s episode of Agents of SHIELD. Be sure to tweet with us during the show, and visit us Wednesday morning for Christina Roberts’ full recap.
