Hope You Survive The Experience Of Uncanny Inhumans Teaser
By Nick Tylwalk
It’s been curious since it was first announced that Marvel is calling its upcoming series Uncanny Inhumans, given that the u-word has always been associated with the X-Men in the past. Even for Uncanny Avengers, it made sense since the whole point of the Avengers Unity Squad was having non-mutant and mutant heroes on the same team.

So it’s difficult to know what to make of the teaser that Marvel sent out this afternoon, which shows the Uncanny Inhumans we’re going to be seeing on Free Comic Book Day. It came with the tag line, “Welcome to the Inhumans – Hope You Survive the Experience!” That’s a reference to the classic X-Men #139, when it referred to Kitty Pryde (called Sprite back then) getting her first taste of the Danger Room.
Does that mean this is going to be some sort of Inhuman-X-Men joint team? And who else is joining Medusa, queen of the Inhumans on that cover?
I assumed the burning guy was Inferno, but I suppose it could be Toro, too, since he’s been retconned to be an Inhuman. Looks like three or four others to be revealed later.
(Disclaimer: I’ve read zero issues of Inhuman, so I’m not up to speed on the full list of Inhumans these days at all.)
Expect our next few weeks to include the truth behind more silhouettes.
