Suicide Squad: Viola Davis On Amanda Waller: ‘That’s Me!’
Viola Davis is a tremendous actress (basically if you aren’t watching How To Get Away With Murder, you are missing out on one of the best shows on TV). So she is a great choice for the role of “The Wall”, Amanda Waller, in Suicide Squad. But how does Viola Davis relate to Amanda Waller? Pretty well, as she tells it to CBR news.

"She’s unapologetic. Everything that I’m reading and studying about her: unapologetic, no humor, just brutal. That’s me! Listen, she gets to use a gun. It’s my fantasy. Now, I would never do that in life, but when I get a gun on a set, it does something to me."
I would definitely say that I see shades of Amanda Waller in the law professor Viola Davis plays in her hit TV show, How To Get Away With Murder, so since she seems to identify so much with Waller, that’s obviously a big part of her actual personality, which just makes her an even better fit for the part. We’ll be able to see Viola Davis as Amanda Waller when Suicide Squad opens in theaters August 5th, 2016.
