Rumor: Why Batman Is Fighting Superman in Batman v. Superman
So why are Batman & Superman, DC’s two biggest heroes, fighting in the upcoming Batman v. Superman movie anyway? Badass Digest claims to have the scoop.

Essentially, in Batman v. Superman, Superman travels to Gotham to take out Batman at the behest of Lex Luthor. Why would Superman do anything at the behest of Lex Luthor? Well, let’s remember that at this point in the DC movie universe, there is no real established relationship between Superman & Lex Luthor. They probably aren’t mortal enemies just yet. Odds are Superman wants to do something to get brownie points with either the public or the government, and Lex Luthor convinces Superman that taking down Batman, a violent vigilante operating outside of any government influence or control, is the way to do that. Admittedly, for the purposes of the movie, they need a reason beyond fanboys just wanting to see the two heroes tearing each other apart on the big screen. We’ll find out for sure when Batman v. Superman opens in theaters March 25th, 2016 (365 DAYS TO GO).
