By Nick Tylwalk
It looks like rumors about Captain Marvel appearing in Avengers: Age of Ultron aren’t going to pan out after all.

Of course it all boils down to who has the better sources at this point. But Nerdist sure is confident in theirs, boldly proclaiming in today’s Nerdist News that it’s source says we won’t be seeing Carol Danvers. This contradicts what Umberto Gonzalez of Latino Review has been suggesting, which Jessica Chobot isn’t shy about declaring in the video you see below. So … super hero movie scoop fight?
Nerdist does leave the door open to the possibility that Captain Marvel could be featured in a mid-credits or post-credits scene, though doubts that said scene has been shot yet if that’s happening. More likely, we’ll see Black Panther, Spider-Man or Thanos. Hey, that’s exactly what we’ve been saying!
Chobot thinks we could see an introduction to Carol in either Captain America: Civil War or Doctor Strange. As much as everyone wants to see her, there’s no real rush. My guess is she won’t be needed for any extended camera time until Avengers: Infinity War Part I, which is three years away, and her solo film is even further out than that. This is one rumor I’m okay with being debunked, if that indeed turns out to be the case.
