Wild West Batman Figure Debuts!

Square Enix’s new line of action figures called Variant Play Arts Kai has seen some pretty great figs produced recently. If the new Wild West Batman is any indication, that doesn’t looks to stop any time soon.

The intricate action figure comes with cool action accessories like a batarang, a knife, a grappling gun and an axe, for some reason.

I’m most impressed with the pose-ability and articulation the fig has without looking all that jointed. It also isn’t all that over-the-top like a lot of toys created by Square Enix. The design is reminiscent of the famous Wild West story arc that Grant Morrison wrote, revisiting old 50’s Batman tales.

The fig runs about $120 and will be followed by Spartan Batman, Medieval Batman and Steampunk Batman in the same series. Wild West Batman hits shelves in July.
