This coming Monday, April 13, 2015 marks Gotham‘s return from its month-long spring hiatus. A few new faces will be popping up, and they’ll be running the gamut of both good and evil — so the heroes of Gotham won’t have their hands too full.
The first of Gotham‘s final four episodes in the season, titled Beasts of Prey (obviously a reference to the future superhero team the Birds of Prey), will introduce Milo Ventimiglia as serial killer Jason Lennon, a.k.a the Ogre. A sort of Cassanova-like Jack the Ripper, Lennon is another “candidate” in the on-going “who’s the Joker?” game from Bruno Heller and team, although the most likely person has probably already been introduced.
Beasts of Prey also continues Fish Mooney’s story on Dr. Dulmacher’s island, where she’s now a newly minted partner of the twisted physician. And who can forget about Bruce Wayne’s ongoing saga in unraveling the corruption at Wayne Enterprises. It also seems that he’ll be getting quite a bit of help in this endeavor from friend / love interest Selina Kyle, a.k.a. now BFF of Barbara Kean’s.
If you need some quick catching up to do, check out our post-spring hiatus primer. We also made some predictions as to what might happen to Gotham‘s characters in the final four episodes of Season One.
Here’s the official synopsis for Beasts of Prey:
"Gordon and Bullock inspect a cold case involving the Ogre, a serial killer who targets young women in Gotham City. Meanwhile, Fish plots her escape from the Dollmaker, and Bruce and Selina confront Reggie in the all-new “Beasts of Prey” episode of GOTHAM."
And, of course, the exciting trailer for the episode:
