Avengers: Age of Ultron director Joss Whedon confirms Spider-Man end-credits scene is fake!

You must have all seen the reported Spider-Man end-credit scene by now, that shows Spider-Man appearing behind a window cleaner and telling him that he’s missed a spot. Many people suggested, quite insanely, that this was the leaked Avengers: Age of Ultron end-credit scene.

This was despite Avengers: Age of Ultron director Joss Whedon and Marvel studios head honcho Kevin Feige both stating that there is absolutely not going to be an end credit-scene so Spider-Man will not be appearing in it. They were adamant that people didn’t have to wait until the very end of the credits!

Whilst there would still be a mid-credits scene, which is rumoured to bring Thanos back into the forefront of people’s minds for Avengers 3, the Spider-Man video is clearly positioned at the end of the credits so it definitely isn’t the leaked mid-credits tag.

And now, perhaps rather unalarmingly, the man behind Avengers: Age of Ultron, Joss Whedon, has confirmed that the video is a fake at the AOU press panel where he said

“Yeah, that’s not real, I don’t know where it started, It is not in fact part of the movie and I don’t know who came up with it. We wanted to be clear that there was no tag scene at the very, very end of the film because after sitting through 40 minutes of credits not seeing anything we thought that people would become irate.”
