You’ve seen Nova and Thanos go a few rounds before, but never quite like this.

Spinning out of Secret Wars comes what Marvel is calling “an explosive cosmic tale of life, death, family and the things we do for survival.” In the land of New Xandar, on the south of Battleworld, a once beautiful domain has been turned into a shattered shell of its former self thanks to invaders from a neighboring region. Infinity Gauntlet #1 puts the spotlight on Anwen Bakian, a girl whose mom left to join the Nova Corps and never returned.
Now she’s got just her dad, sister and grandfather by her side as they struggle to survive against giant insects. A mysterious stone could be the answer, except the being looking for it is bad news in any reality: Thanos! Dustin Weaver and Gerry Duggan are joining forces to bring us this unique Secret Wars tie-in, one that promises to show one of the most powerful objects in all of Marvel comics in a brand new light.
Infinity Gauntlet #1 is set to hit stores and digital on May 27, but we’ve got a preview of some of Weaver’s art right here. Scroll on down unless super-sized bugs creep you out!
