First Look: Battle For Genosha In X-Tinction Agenda #1
By Nick Tylwalk
I’m not sure if you’ve noticed this or not, but it’s not generally the shiniest and happiest of places that have survived from different realities to become parts of the Secret Wars Battleworld. As X-Tinction Agenda #1 is going to show us, even the lands that started out on the right path are going to be put to the test in this year’s Marvel mega-event.

In this book’s version of Genosha, Cameron Hodge and company were defeated a decade ago, and Havok and Wolfsbane have led the efforts to rebuild the mutant nation into a beacon of freedom once again. But when a plague hits and threatens the populace with extinction (get it?) they’re going to find themselves abandoned not only by the rulers of Battleworld but their former X-Men teammates as well.
Now the choices these two heroes have to make could mean deciding between the fate of their own people and the greater good of the overall planet. Sounds dramatic, doesn’t it? I’m sure that’s exactly what writer Marc Guggenheim (yes, the executive producer of Arrow; same guy) and artist Carmine Di Giandomenico have in mind when X-Tinction Agenda #1 hits stores and digital on June 3.
As we often do, we’ve got a sneak peek of a few pages of mutant vs. mutant intrigue below, so enjoy!
