Fans of the marriage and the idea of Spider-Man having a family are going to get their wish in Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows #1, which hits stores and digital on June 3. Writer Dan Slott and artist Adam Kubert team to show the Parkers very much a married couple with a daughter to boot. Of course they’re on the Secret Wars Battleworld together, which means things aren’t exactly going to go smoothly for them.
When the Parker’s city is under assault by a new villain named Regent, Peter makes the safety of Mary Jane and his daughter his top priority. Still, this is the man who knows about great powr and great responsibility better than any other, so you just know he’s not going to be able to turn a blind eye to the other citizens for too long. Marvel is calling Renew Your Vows “the story you’ve been waiting for,” so we’ll have to assume that Slott and Kubert are coming with their A-games.
Alas, even after we’ve built up the anticipation for you, it’s going to be a few weeks until you can check it out. What you can do for now is scroll down for a first look at four preview pages and variant covers by Skottie Young and J. Scott Campbell. Spider-Man, the way he should be? Some fans will undoubtedly say yes, and if you’re one of them, you won’t want to miss this book.
