New Batman Unlimited: Animal Instincts Clips!

DC is still attempting to find a marketing niche that fills the void of the old Paul Dini/Bruce Timm era stiff, and their latest attempt is an animated film based off of the Batman Unlimited toy line.

Animal Instincts is set to hit DVD and home video on the 12th and now we have some new promo clips to whet your whistle before the big premiere.

"When Gotham is plagued by crime committed by an animal-themed villain squad composed of The Penguin, Silverback, Cheetah, Killer Croc and Man-Bat, Batman and other heroes band together to stop them."

It’s hard to say if this will pan out for DC in terms of creating a unified brand for younger fans, but I can totally see where they are going with it. If not well executed I’m sure it will just end up on the same pile as The Batman and Beware the Batman as pale followups to Batman: The Animated Series.
