Astros Pitcher Lance McCullers Debuts Wearing Batman Cleats

look, I’m a Kansas City Royals fan, but I can appreciate comic books fans on other teams. Heck, I went to Superhero Day at Busch Stadium in St. Louis last year. And Matt Harvey (no relation) of the Mets is nicknamed Batman. So, I was delighted when Houston Astros pitcher Lance McCullers made his major league debut wearing Batman cleats on Monday.

Good stuff. Can’t argue with that.

McCullers only gave up 1 run on 3 hits, but sadly didn’t get the win. The Astros lost to the Oakland A’s (with former Royal Billy Butler) 2-1. The Astros how have one of the top records in baseball, leading the A.L. West. (I’m gonna brag)

I hope this guy succeeds. He likes Batman, for Denny’s sake.
