Jim Lee’s BlueLine Batman Fig Unveiled!

facebooktwitterreddit

In 2011, Jim Lee was tasked with redesigning the costumes for the entire DCU, both for the comics and for tie-in marketing. Granted, a lot of those new looks have already been disposed of, but the their impressions remain all throughout DC entertainment.

Now, Lee has introduced a new Comic-Con exclusive Batman action figure based on his pencil work. It’s a new line of figs called BlueLine. Artists often use blue pencils or artboards with blue lines because they are easily dismissed and don’t show up when copied.

"There are two different versions for purchase of the Batman action figure, which is white with black lines and celebrates the artistic process. (Plus he looks different than all those black Bat-figures fans already have.) An exclusive Lee print on blueline paper comes with the the standard package ($40), and a limited edition ($300) of 150 pieces includes a signed unique original sketch by the artist — Lee’s doing 50 each of Batman, Harley Quinn and the Joker."

"DC Collectibles is coming to Comic-Con, and they’re bringing a one-of-a-kind exclusive with them! In this video, DC Entertainment Co-Publisher and legendary artist Jim Lee unboxes the special edition BlueLine Batman action figure based on his art that will be available exclusively at the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con.For more information on the BlueLine figure and our other SDCC exclusives, please visit: http://www.dccomics.com/blog/2015/05/…"
