Preview: Two Evil Forces Collide In Age Of Ultron Vs. Marvel Zombies #1
By Nick Tylwalk
So there’s a Marvel Zombies tie-in series during Secret Wars, but apparently the restless undead of Battleworld can’t be contained in just one book.

Enter Age of Ultron vs. Marvel Zombies #1, coming to us from writer James Robinson and artist Steve Pugh. If it seems like an unusual combination, some of it is due to geography. See, the Age of Ultron and Marvel Zombies regions of Battleworld are right next to each other in the far south, so it was only a matter of time before they came to blows. Only Doom knows why it was a good idea to put them so close together, and I’m not asking that guy what he was thinking.
Unfortunately, while the rest of the planet is kept relatively safe by the giant wall knows as the Shield and the brave heroes who stand guard there, some people aren’t so lucky. There are still a few unlucky souls still alive in the south, forced to make the unpleasant choice between death by horrific, super-powered zombies or death by unstoppable nihilistic robots.
Can anyone save them? The Vision, Wonder Man, and the original Human Torch, Jim Hammond are among those willing to give it a shot. You might notice that none of them can be turned into zombies, so at least they have that going for them.
Marvel says that “whoever wins — we lose,” but I feel like someone already used that tag line for something …
In any case, we’ve got a short preview of Age of Ultron vs. Marvel Zombies #1 for your viewing pleasure, with the whole thing coming your way on June 24. Pick a side, but watch your back either way!
