Talking to E, Eastwood seemed to indicate that Leto had gone very method for his role as The Joker in Suicide Squad:
"I was sort of afraid to approach him because I didn’t want to mess with his thing going on. But I knew him before. I met him before he was The Joker. I just met him as Jared Leto. So I didn’t know if I wanted to mess up his thing."
Eastwood also promised that with Suicide Squad, director David Ayer “is doing something the world will be really surprised about.”
Hopefully Eastwood is right and Leto going method for Joker will result in a memorable performance. Suicide Squad is due out in theaters August 5th, 2016.
