Everyone was certain that Spider-Man would at least make a cameo in the Captain America threequel, Captain America: Civil War. However mere moments after Marvel announced Tom Holland as their new Spider-Man they also confirmed what we all suspected, that Holland would make his Marvel debut during Civil War.

Bizarrely it was announced during Kevin Feige and Paul Rudd’s Antman rounds with The Hollywood Reporter. Feige told THR’s Greg Kilday that “Holland will report immediately to the set of the currently shooting Captain America: Civil War, which Marvel has scheduled for a May 6, 2016, release.”

So any lingering doubt that anyone might have had regarding Spidey’s appearance in Civil War can now dissipate. That being said, it is still unclear what the extent of Spider-Man’s role in the film will be, will it be similar to this reportedly leaked script, will it be a throwaway cameo appearance, or will it be a major part of the movie.

We’ll have to wait to find out!
