Ant-Man: Special IMAX Preview Trailer Released

For over a month, IMAX 3D screenings of the record-breaking Jurassic World treated audiences to a special Ant-Man preview trailer. Bam Smack Pow was in attendance during the first night screening of the dino movie, and we gave our review and description of the special preview. With less than two weeks to go before it’s released to fans, pre-screenings of Ant-Man have already been getting some very positive reactions from critics (full reviews are embargoed until Wednesday, July 8, 2015). The newest installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will introduce audiences to a live-incarnation of the original founding member of the Avengers in the comics. The film is said to be much more character-focused and will be more akin to the style of 2008’s Iron Man — the film which started it all.

Set to release in the United States on July 17, 2015, Ant-Man will close out Phase Two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The film is being directed by Peyton Reed, written by Gabriel Ferrari, Andrew Barrer, and Adam McKay, and starring Paul Rudd as Scott Lang / Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne, Corey Stoll as Darren Cross / Yellowjacket, Bobby Cannavale as Paxton, Michael Peña as Luis, Judy Greer as Maggie, Tip “T.I.” Harris as Dave, David Dastmalchian as Kurt, Wood Harris as Gale, Jordi Mollà as Castillo, and Michael Douglas as Dr. Hank Pym / Ant-Man.
