Arrow: Season 4 Upgraded Suit Revealed – UPDATE: Oliver Queen Declares That He’s The Green Arrow
By Steve Lam
UPDATE 7/12/2015 7:00AM PST: Flicks and the City posted a video of Stephen Amell wearing the new suit and appearing in character as Oliver Queen at the Arrow Hall H panel. At the end of his rousing speech, he declares that his new moniker is now The Green Arrow.
Season 4 of The CW’s Arrow isn’t just getting a new villain in the form of Damien Darhk. Our titular hero will also be getting a new suit. The CW has just officially revealed what Ollie will be sporting when he restarts his nightly escapades as a vigilante.
This has to be what Cisco Ramon gave to Ollie at the end of Season 3’s The Brave and the Bold. I’m glad to see that he’s evolving and looking more like his comics counterpart — first the mask, and now short sleeves and gauntlets. Since Arrow still tries to root itself in some form of realism, I can see Felicity complaining that this new suit lacks a bit of upper arm protection. But what it lacks in protection, it makes up in being lighter in weight — most likely allowing the Arrow (if he still goes by that moniker or will be changing it to “Green Arrow”) to swiftly and adeptly avoid any dangers, thereby, making any superfluous protection a moot point.
Being that it’s Comic-Con week, more new things from Arrow are expected to be revealed. And they’ll most likely be posted after the massive 3-hour Hall H Warner Bros. Television and DC Entertainment Screening Block that runs from 8:00PM PST to 11:00PM PST tonight. You can guarantee that Bam Smack Pow will be keeping you up-to-date on those things, so revisit us frequently.
Arrow Season 4 will premiere on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 8PM EST.
