Loot Crate Unboxing! (July 2015)

For those of you who don’t know about it, you’re missing out on Loot Crate. It’s a monthly subscription box that ships a veritable cornucopia of geeky treats straight to your door. This month’s theme is Heroes 2 – the second edition of their superhero-centric extravaganza. That means plenty of Batman swag so we at Caped Crusades have no problem with showing you this and what comes in the mail each month!

Sadly, there is no t-shirt this time around, but plenty of awesome stuff.

Here’s what we were delighted to snag in ours!

  • Q-Pop Batman figure with dry erase word bubble.
  • Batman Multi Tool bottle opener and screwdriver key chain
  • The League of Regrettable Superheroes: Half-Baked Heroes from Comic Book History hardcover book by Jon Morris. Looks pretty funny, actually.

"You know about Batman, Superman, and Spiderman, but have you heard of Doll Man, Doctor Hormone, or Spider Queen? In The League of Regrettable Superheroes, you’ll meet one hundred of the strangest superheroes ever to see print, complete with backstories, vintage art, and colorful commentary. So prepare yourself for such not-ready-for-prime-time heroes as Bee Man (Batman, but with bees), the Clown (circus-themed crimebuster), the Eye (a giant, floating eyeball; just accept it), and many other oddballs and oddities."

  • Star Trek vanilla air freshener
  • Loot Crate July 2015 Heroes 2 commemorative pin (the Dark Knight silhouette overlooking Gotham)
  • Brawlhalla game download code
  • Loot Crate magazine (every month). This edition has a lot of really great Batman stuff!
  • Wonder Woman DC Bombshells mini poster

Verdict: A solid haul for Bat-fans everywhere. The Q-pop statue is totally worth forgoing a t-shirt this month. That and the batarang multi-tool will do a lot around my house. If I were you, I’d go out and subscribe for yourself. Month in and month out it proves worth the $15ish it costs.
