The Peyton Reed-directed film which stars Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas had a rough start during initial production.  Original director/writer Edgar Wright left the project due to creative differences with producer Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios.  After that, fans were worried that this could be the first Marvel Studios flop which would signal a downward trend for the movie universe that could do no wrong.  With the current data, it seems that ticket sales prove that the studio still has its golden touch and can still make even the most obscure characters compelling.
