Arrow’s Stephen Amell Teases Another WWE Raw Appearance
By Nick Tylwalk
The on again, off again feud between Arrow star Stephen Amell and WWE wrestler Stardust may be back on again.
Tonight on Raw, Stardust made mention that fellow grappler Neville, who had been his “super hero,” let him down when he lost a match against WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. Who would be his hero now, Stardust wondered, drawing back an imaginary arrow and letting it go.
That was an obvious reference to Amell, who has appeared on Raw once before and almost got into it with Stardust from his ringside seat (in staged fashion, of course). The actor tweeted this in response:
Kudos for using those action figures to make your point, Mr. Amell.
So does this mean Amell might actually get in the ring with Stardust (real name: Cody Rhodes), perhaps at the upcoming WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view? Perhaps, though since the hold-up before was supposedly Amell’s contract preventing him from doing something so dangerous, it seems even less likely the powers that be would agree to any in-ring action for Oliver Queen with filming for Season 4 of Arrow now underway.
If nothing else, it’s a reason for all the lapsed wrestling fans among Arrow fandom to tune in for Raw next Monday on USA.
