The CW has released its latest Season 2 promo for The Flash.  In it, we see our favorite Scarlet Speedster race around the world, resulting in a very cool visual at the end.  Check out the promo via the show’s Facebook post.

It might be a coincidence, but this seems very much like an homage to the original Richard Donner / Christopher Reeve Superman: The Movie (1978). Â For those who want to get nostalgic, remember the final scene where the Man of Steel flies around the world at super-speed to reverse time? Â Talk about deus ex machina, but it was still awesome.
Another thing to note would be the Flash’s blue lightening effects from his eyes to his speed-trail.  Did the Flash get an upgrade for his powers after the events of Season 1’s finale?  Only time will tell, as the Season 2 premiere is fast approaching (sorry to use a pun) us.
From the Flash’s new suit modification (white background emblem) to the introduction of new allies (Jay Garrick) and new villains, Season 2 of The Flash is gearing up to be an exciting year.  The introduction of Earth-Two also brings endless possibilities for a multiverse — something that’s been a mainstay for the DC universe.
The Flash Season 2 will premiere on The CW on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 8:00PM EST.
