The Flash: It’s Go Time
By Steve Lam
With all this talk of a multiverse, new heroes, and new villains, it’s no wonder that the latest poster for The CW’s The Flash declared that “it’s go time.”
The new poster prominently features the Flash speeding towards the viewer with his updated lightning bolt emblem. It’s not a surprise that our favorite Scarlet Speedster wants to get right back to work. He has a new ally in the form of Jay Garrick — The Flash of Earth-Two. There are also new threats of which one of them deals with the recently announced casting of Demore Barnes as Firestorm villain Tokamok.
The way Season 1 concluded, you may think that we’ll be picking up right where we left off. Well, not quite so. In a recent interview with Grant Gustin, it seems that Season 2’s first episode will occur six months after the storm. Some are also speculating that Jay Garrick is the one who picks up the slack while Barry is away. Maybe that’s why Mr. Allen is so anxious in getting his speed on.
We still have over a month of waiting. However, you can guarantee that in the weeks leading up to the exciting premiere of Season 2, we’ll be seeing and hearing more about what’s in store for this ever-expanding universe.
The Flash Season 2 will premiere on The CW on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 8:00PM EST.
