LINE Webtoon Offers Two Chapters Of Cyber Force For Free In Advance Of New Material

It was already revealed a few months ago that Top Cow would be bringing Cyber Force, the title that first put the company on the map, to the digital comics service LINE Webtoon in the fall. Before that happens, though, the two companies are teaming up to make sure that readers can catch up on Cyber Force the best way possible — for free.
Beginning today, every Monday through Thursday will see a new chapter from one of the previous two trades of Cyber Force hit LINE Webtoon. The idea is that both old and new readers will be able to catch up with the story prior to the release of new material later this year.
“Cyber Force is without question one of the most popular comics from one of the best comic studios around, and we’re happy to host the past two portions of the Cyber Force saga on LINE Webtoon,” JunKoo Kim, Founder and Head of LINE Webtoon, said in a press release. “We really think this sets a great stage for this Fall when our readers will be able to experience new Cyber Force chapters exclusively on the Webtoon platform for free!”
The new stories will be written by Top Cow president Matt Hawkins, and will tie in closely with the print comic Aphrodite IX. Many companies have envisioned a true multimedia, multi-platform comics experience, but the hope is that the partnership with LINE Webtoon, which has already experienced tremendous success in Korea, helps make this one the best such effort to date.
“We see this partnership with LINE Webtoon as a way to please our audience of devoted Cyber Force fans as well as bring in new ones on this new experience which is revolutionizing the way we read comics,” Silvestri said in a press release. “We’ve already been deeply involved in developing the next Cyber Force storyline for the LINE Webtoon, and the results are going to truly blow our fans away.”
The Cyber Force chapters are available online, as well as through the LINE Webtoon app, which is a free download from the iOS App Store or Google Play for Android.
