Jason Momoa Thinks Aquaman's No Joke

Yeah, a lot of people make fun of Aquaman. But those people just don’t get it.

Don’t believe me? Ever play Injustice? Did you read that Geoff Johns run? Trust me, Aquaman can be totally badass.

He’s a completely underrated character and Jason Momoa thinks you’ll agree after you see Batman v Superman. This weekend at the Toronto Fan Expo, Momoa was asked all sorts of questions about the king of the Seven Seas, like his character’s demeanor and how serious the film version would be.

"I can’t see me busting out a bunch of jokes. I mean, I don’t think it’ll be like that."

Then is he going to be more like Kahl Drogo from Game of Thrones?

"I don’t think Aquaman’s going to be raping and pillaging any villages."

Well, that’s a relief. But how does he react to the running gag of Aquaman being a joke of a superhero?

"You know, it’s cute and funny, I mean people make fun of him and there’s a bunch of jokes about him. But I’m like ‘Well… just wait. Let’s just wait a little bit. And then we can make jokes…"
