Batman v Superman: Jesse Eisenberg Still Doesn’t Get It

After his inflammatory and oddly detached comments at Comic-Con, it quickly became obvious that Jesse Eisenberg doesn’t understand Geek Culture or comics at all.

When asked about his experience and fanboy fervor over Batman v Superman at SDCC, the strangely aloof Eisenberg famously likened it to ‘some sort of genocide’.  He also keeps referring to comic book films in a rather patronizing way, including his latest comments about the film’s quality.

While on NBC’s Today to promote his new book Bream Gives Me Hiccups, he talked briefly about BvS now that he’s likely seen a rough edit.

"It was written by this guy, Chris Terrio — this is like his first movie after Argo. He’s just this brilliant writer of characters. So this movie is, you know, it’s not like a kind of cartoonish superhero movie. It’s this very serious and well acted, well written, well directed movie. It’s really phenomenal."

*sigh* Well, at least he likes it. The funny part is – based on footage we’ve seen so far – he seems to be the weakest link in the whole thing.
