The Flash: Harrison Wells Will Be Back In Season 2
By Nick Tylwalk
This shouldn’t come as too big a surprise for anyone who’s noted that Tom Cavanagh is still in the cast for Season 2 of The Flash, but it turns out we haven’t seen the last of Harrison Wells just yet.

On other shows, getting killed off and then having your identity assumed by a super villain (the Reverse-Flash) who was then erased from the timestream would mean your character is pretty much a goner. Not so on The Flash, where deaths and other unfortunate events have already been reversed thanks to Barry Allen’s nifty ability to run fast enough to break through the time barrier.
That would seem to suggest an obvious way back for Wells: thanks to the season-ending sacrifice of Eddie Thawne, maybe his death no longer applies. Or when we see Cavanagh, it could be as a Wells from an alternate timeline instead of the main one. Um, this could get complicated quickly.
So let’s move on to the proof, which comes from the TVLine Fall TV preview blurb on The Flash. Here’s what executive producer Gabrielle Stanton had to say on the subject of the man in charge of S.T.A.R. Labs:
"Harrison Wells will be back, but he’s going to be a very different Harrison Wells than we’ve seen before. We’ve got other worlds. We’ve got other timelines. All I’m going to say is he’s from one of those places."
It’s possible that Wells might not be a completely friendly face, given what happened to the particle accelerator without his guidance. And the main cast members don’t really know the “real” Wells anyway, just the guy impersonating him.
Told you it might be complicated. The Flash speed back into our lives on Tuesday, October 6 with some kind of Wells in tow.
