Preview: Swing Back Into Action With Spider-Gwen #1
By Nick Tylwalk
When the Gwen Stacy Spider-Woman was first created for Spider-Verse, she turned out to be a very popular addition to the Spider-Man mythos. She even got her own series, but then Secret Wars ended everything. I hate it when that happens.

Never fear though, as Marvel isn’t about to let a character who has caught on like this remain on the sidelines for long. A brand new Spider-Gwen #1 is on the way from the same creative team that brought her to life: writer Jason Latour and artists Robbi Rodriguez and Rico Renzi. It’s a new start for Spider-Woman, yet one that promises answers to the questions that readers who have followed her from the start have been asking.
Most notably, what really happened between Gwen and Peter Parker? That’s more relevant than ever now that someone has recreated Peter’s Lizard formula, something that Gwen vowed to never let happen again. Plus NYPD Captain Frank Castle and the Kingpin of Crime, Matt Murdock, are both stirring up their own brands of trouble for Spider-Woman. And you can expect to see Norman Osborn and Harry Osborn thrown into that mix as well.
It doesn’t sound like Gwen will get to take any days off in the near future, but that works out well for us since this series is just getting started. Scroll down for some preview pages from Spider-Gwen #1, and look for the complete issue in stores or on digital on October 14.
