More Dark Knight III Covers Emerge!
By Skip Harvey
DC is finally concluding the trilogy that no one knew was a trilogy until they announced a third book with Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight III: The Master Race.
To celebrate the conclusion to the beloved series (well, the first book) DC has asked several artists to craft variant covers in tribute. We’ve scoured the internet and have found new covers popping up in various places, including the cover of the NYCC program guide! Check out some of our findings.
"Eduardo Risso’s “Dark Knight III” #1 variant cover"
"Tyler Kirkham’s “Dark Knight III” #1 variant cover"
"In this cover illustrator RAFAEL ALBUQUERQUE pays homage to The Dark Knight Returns."
"Long time Miller collaborator Klaus Janson’s “Dark Knight III” #1 variant cover."

To highlight next month’s big event, check out Entertainment Weekly’s reveal of the NYCC program cover.
"Designed by Andy Kubert (Batman, X-Men), the art is also a sneak peek at the first issue of Dark Knight III: The Master Race, scheduled to hit comic shops in November. Dark Knight III, written by Frank Miller, and illustrated by Andy Kubert and Klaus Janson, is the epic eight-issue conclusion of Miller’s most influential series and one of the world’s most popular superheroes."
Now we have word of who else may be commissioned to tackle the project.
