A couple weeks ago a report surfaced that a comic that sounded very similar to the abandoned Gotham High cartoon was coming out in the near future. Now that comic has been announced, and it’s a joint venture called DC Comics: Secret Hero Society.

Secret Hero Society is a join venture between DC & Scholastic and is going to be a series of illustrated novels written and illustrated by Dustin Nguyen and Derek Fridolfs. Secret Hero Society stars middle-school aged versions of Bruce Wayne, Clark Kent & Diana Prince as they solve mysteries in and around the mysterious Ducard Academy.

The first novel, due out in February, is titled Study Hall of Justice, and is due to be followed by at least two more novels with one coming out each year. In addition to younger versions of your favorite DC trio, Secret Hero Society will also have younger versions of other favorites such as Aquaman & Cyborg. Sounds like a great read for kids!
