Sneak Peak: Dark Knight III Mini Comic
By Skip Harvey
Like it or not, more Frank Miller Batman work is coming to comic shelves. Though we aren’t sure if All-Star Batman & Robin is happening yet, we do know that the Dark Knight series is wrapping up with Dark Knight III: The Master Race.
From DC Comics:
"The Atom has a super-sized problem in the cover for Frank Miller’s Dark Knight III: The Master Race minicomic. We’ve seen covers for DARK KNIGHT III: THE MASTER RACE from the likes of Neal Adams, Lee Bermejo, Mike Allred, Tim Sale, Gary Frank and more, but you know who we haven’t seen a cover illustration by yet? Frank Miller, the writer and illustrator behind the whole thing.Well, that’s about to change. We’re pleased to give you your first look at Frank Miller’s wraparound cover for the minicomic he’ll be co-writing and drawing as a part of Dark Knight III. Take a look…"
"Miller’s distinct line art has been further brought to life by the colors of Alex Sinclair. The interior art will also include the inks of Klaus Janson, reuniting THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS’ legendary penciller and inker team. For those who don’t know, each issue of Dark Knight III: The Master Race will also include a 16-page minicomic written by Miller and Brian Azzarello and drawn by a roster of superstar artists. Each minicomic will focus on a different character from within Miller’s Dark Knight universe. While Superman obviously stands out, this particular minicomic will focus on the other hero you can in the cover above—the Atom.Miller last wrote and illustrated the Atom in his second Dark Knight comic, THE DARK KNIGHT STRIKES AGAIN. So what do you think? Are you excited to see his version of Ray Palmer return?"
Dark Knight III #1 hits shelves on November 25th.
