Suicide Squad: Jared Leto Consulted Grant Morrison
Say what you will about Jared Leto’s appearance as the Joker in Suicide Squad, he took the role of Batman’s greatest enemy very seriously. Not only did he “live” as the Joker for the entire time he filmed the role of the Joker, sending cast members odd gifts and being in-character the entire time, but also consulting a legendary comics scribe.

Grant Morrison has worked on many comics, but some of his most legendary work has involved Batman, and Jared Leto consulted with him on the Suicide Squad role:
"It looks quite interesting. He [Leto] called me to talk about his approach to the character and I steered him in a few directions. I’m keen to see if anything other than slicked back hair and the Marilyn Manson vibe made it into his performance."
Jared Leto is clearly very committed to the role of The Joker for Suicide Squad and beyond. Hopefully that translates into a memorable performance that stands out. We’ll find out August 5th.
