Zack Snyder Talks New Take On Batmobile In Batman v Superman
Batmobiles in past Batman films and TV shows have usually been vehicles originally intended for another purpose or simply souped up versions of already existing vehicles. I mean, in the Dark Knight Trilogy it’s pretty much a military vehicle slightly altered for use on the streets of Gotham. But in Batman v Superman, director Zack Snyder explains that the Batmobile is a unique vehicle specifically built to fight crime.
"The new Batmobile is super fast and is purpose built which I like. We imagine that Batman built it over time, you know, with parts from Wayne Industries or something. He’s made it specifically for the job of fighting crime."
So it’s probably less like the tumbler any of the previous movie and TV versions. and more like in the comics (or video games like the Arkham series), where by the time of Batman v Superman it has been fine tuned over the years to be a more effective custom weapon in the Dark Knight’s war on crime in Gotham. Does that mean that we will see some new tricks from the Batmobile we haven’t seen in previous versions?
"I’m not gonna give it away, but it does a lot of cool stuff in the movie…"

Although I’m sure he did much of the work himself, I wonder if the Bruce Wayne of Batman v Superman had any assistance. In many versions, he wasn’t the main designer of the Batmobile (i.e. Lucius Fox or mechanic Earl Cooper had a huge influence on the Batmobile’s design depending on what version of Batman you are familiar with)? We probably won’t find that out in Batman v Superman, maybe in the eventual solo movie(s)….
