Even though the premise of Batman v Superman is just that – Batman fighting Superman – we haven’t actually seen many photos or stills of the fight itself.

Granted, we’ve seen some brief looks at the superbrawl in a few select trailers, but we still don’t know how it’ll look when the blows start to fall. (If I had to guess, I’d say it’ll be similar to The Dark Knight Returns, obviously)

Total Film‘s big new spotlight article on Batman v Superman gives us a new look at one of the big sequences teased in the SDCC trailer from this summer.

Now, Zack Snyder is known for superfluous action scenes that waste screen time. This movie, however, seems structured perfectly for him. The fight is point of the narrative! How could he go wrong?

When asked by CBR about his approach to tackling Batman for the first time, Snyder discussed what kind of warrior it would take to make this movie go.

"I had a really strong idea about what I wanted to do. I really wanted to do sort of a fabric-based Batman; not what’s become the more normal, armored Batman. That’s how we evolved it. I definitely wanted an older Batman. I wanted a war-weary Batman. That’s why, in a lot of ways, Ben was really perfect for me — we kind of aged him a little bit. It worked really great. I’m really excited about the Batman we created."

Hey, with Chris Terrio having re-written the script and a lot of other people in the room, they might be able to get Dawn of the Dead Snyder instead of Sucker Punch Snyder. That’s good for all of us, trust me.
