Who Is The True Villain Of Suicide Squad?
In a movie full of villains taking on other villains, it may be hard to tell who the real bad guys are. So goes the case for Suicide Squad. Ideally, our task force of Gotham’s most dangerous criminals are the heroes, but just who is their real foe?
Well logic would suggest the Joker. I mean, who’s more villainous than the Clown Prince of Crime himself? But his overall part in Suicide Squad may be pretty small. He’s not part of the squad and with Batman breathing down his neck it hardly seems like anybody would need to assemble a team of villains to stop his plans.
Enchantress seems like the next likely candidate. She doesn’t seem to be part of the Suicide Squad and it’s been heavily rumored that she is basicall a powerful mystical weapon the Squad must stop.

But the greatest villain in Suicide Squad may actually be the one who founded them, Amanda Waller. In the new issue of Empire Magazine, Viola Davis describes her character in a very villainous way:
"She’s relentless in her villainy. When you look at her, there’s nothing that seems dangerous. Her only power is her intelligence and her complete lack of guilt. I read a great book called Confessions of a Sociopath, which was frightening but very helpful…"
Of course, to people who know Amanda Waller’s character, this is no surprise. Waller often seems at least mildly noble in intent but often goes to extremes to achieve her goals. The Suicide Squad may be facing threats in front and back this August….
