Suicide Squad: New Details On Enchantress
Cara Delevingne’s Enchantress is still one of the big mysteries of the Suicide Squad film. She hasn’t been in any of the leaked pictures or videos, she wasn’t in the Suicide Squad trailer from this year’s San Diego Comic Con. Is she part of the squad? Is she their target? Is she a weapon that Amanda Waller tends to use for her own nefarious purposes (which has been rumored)? While not getting into too many specific details, Delevingne did reveal some info about her character.
Cara Delevigne will actually be doing double duty in Suicide Squad, playing both the Enchantress and Julie Moon, the poor girl possessed by the Enchantress.
"June is an adventure seeker who’s always wanted some excitement. And she gets what she wished for, but in a terrible way. At the start of the movie she discovers a cavern and finds…something…within."
Delevigne also described The Enchantress as an ancient sorceress and feral being who has been trapped for a long time. How does she play the Enchantress versus Julie Moon?
"I’d gather the accent, which is deeper and posher than June’s. And I’d last Nick Cave’s Red Right Hand, that song about the devil. Also a lot of Megadeth. Just evil stuff."

Certainly sounds like an interesting take (and is grounded in the comic book history). Playing dual roles and really making them seem different is one of the harder feats to pull off in a movie. Hopefully Miss Delevigne is up to that task. We’ll find out for sure when Suicide Squad hits theaters in August.
