Get ready for one of the most anticipated superhero-related TV returns of 2016. Agent Carter is back for Season 2, and while she’ll undoubtedly be doing the same butt-kicking she did last spring, she’ll be doing it in a brand new location.

Don’t worry, though. Peggy Carter isn’t leaving the SSR. After things got a little crazy in Season 1, what with New York City nearly being destroyed by a mind-controlled Howard Stark and all, our favorite agent is simply switching to a new office of the same spy organization. Thankfully, she won’t be going alone, because while the series is poised to introduce new friends and foes for Peggy, a number of supporting characters will also return to the fold during the series’ two-part Season 2 premiere.

Here’s the official synopsis for the first new hour, which is titled “The Lady in the Lake” — though it’s not referring to Excalibur, as far as we know!

"In the season premiere episode, “The Lady in the Lake,” Peggy moves to the City of Angels to help Chief Daniel Sousa at the West Coast Strategic Scientific Reserve (SSR) investigate a bizarre homicide involving an alleged killer and Isodyne Energy, and reunites with some familiar faces."

Those familiar faces include Stark’s butler Edwin Jarvis and agent Jack Thompson, who will also be getting a promotion and might not be out in California with the rest of the gang. Expect Howard to make an entrance at some point in Season 2, though maybe not in the premiere, as well as the villain we hated to love, Dottie Underwood.

All told, those sound like plenty of reasons to have Agent Carter fill up our Tuesday nights while Agents of SHIELD remains on its hiatus. Our own Christina Lazzara is itching to get back to her recaps and reviews as well, so she’ll be watching along with you at 9 pm on Tuesday, January 19 on ABC.
