Batman V Superman: Premiere Receives Overwhelming Praise

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to be released this week. And trust me, I am counting down the clock by the seconds! However, a very lucky select crowd was able to see the amazing match-up between the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel at tonight’s New York City premiere event. Though the press and critics have been put on embargo until the film’s release, other attendees were free to share their opinions. The overall consensus has been that the movie hits all the marks and is probably the best comic book film since The Dark Knight (2008). If that isn’t high praise, I don’t know what is. Other comments have lauded Gal Gadot’s performance as Wonder Woman, and Ben Affleck’s portrayal of Batman. For those worried about the trailers giving too much away, there’s something for you also. Supposedly, the third act is a spectacle to behold. And for the Zack Snyder naysayers, one comment pointed to Snyder learning from his mistakes from Man of Steel (2013). So I guess the articles slamming the movie as a big flop and also Warner Bros. scared of it failing was all baloney. Hey, it’s the new age of hating everything and doing whatever can cause some controversy and fire. Like what Alfred said to Bruce in The Dark Knight, “Some men just want to watch the world burn.” Let those people say what they want to say. We fans will be seeing it regardless … and we’ll be cheering on our DC heroes together on premiere night! Yes, even though I’m seeing it early, I already know that I’m seeing it again!
