Doctor Octopus Is Dead No More In Final Teaser
By D. Goodman
A sixth and final teaser has dropped for the Spider-Man event “Dead No More” and it finally reveals the return of Doctor Octopus.
He’s back.
The final teaser for “Dead No More” has been released by Marvel and it at long last completes the image they have been revealing all this week. And to the shock of just about nobody, the final segment stars none other that Dr. Otto Octavius, better known as Doctor Octopus.
I think it is safe to say everyone knew Doctor Octopus would be back eventually, as he is just too cool of a Spider-Man villain to leave on the shelf for too long. The new teaser shows him with a new body and a new set of mechanical arms and fits in perfectly with the other five images to form one very impressive widescreen image.
The last time anyone saw Doc Ock, he had sacrificed himself in the final issue of Superior Spider-Man, realizing that Peter Parker will always be better than him and was the only one who could save the day. Since then, it has been revealed that Doc Ock’s spirit has been living inside the Living Brain, we assume waiting for a chance to get his revenge.

It would seem that time will be coming this Fall.
Of course, what he has to do with the return of other deceased Spider-Man supporting cast members, the Man in Red or Gwen Stacy is a complete mystery.
But now that I think about it, the finished image does include the Scarlet Spider, the Rhino, the Lizard, the Prowler, Madam Web and now Doctor Octopus. That’s six characters who, from the finished image, seem to be attacking Spider-Man.

Could we have an updated version of the Sinister Six on our hands with a few very unexpected new members?
Something to think about.
Things will hopefully start becoming more clear on Free Comic Book Day when the opening chapter of “Dead No More” debuts on the flip side of the Captain America: Steve Rogers series lead-in.
Personally, I can’t wait.
