More Spider-Man In New Captain America: Civil War TV Spots
By D. Goodman
What better way to get folks excited for Captain America: Civil War than with a little bit more Spider-Man?
Even before Marvel Studios managed to work out a deal with Sony Pictures to bring the Amazing Spider-Man home to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, excitement was riding high for Captain America: Civil War. The thought of seeing the heroes of the Marvel Universe beat the hell out of each other on the big screen was enough to get even the most jaded fanboy worked into a lather.
Of course, that excitement went through the roof when Spider-Man came home and word got out that before he starred in an all-new movie, Peter Parker would make an appearance in Civil War.
When the first trailer featuring the character’s introduction was released it was all anyone could talk about. The costume! The voice! Holy crap the eyes on the mask move!

Since then there hasn’t been much to see as the television ads that followed all focused on the various members of Team Cap and Team Iron Man. No Spidey to be seen excpet for that brief glimpse in the second full trailer.
Thankfully, everyone’s patience has been rewarded.
A pair of new TV spots have been released that features more of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in action and it is a blast.
See for yourself:
“You have a metal arm? That is awesome dude!” With those simple words, any misgivings I may have had about the latest Spider-Man reboot have been put to rest.
Before now, I kept thinking to myself that I really, really hope Marvel doesn’t screw this up. Three reboots for the same character in rapid succession can lead to all kinds of issues, especially when the last one was pretty much a disaster. I was concerned that Marvel might not be able to pull this off when you add in the fact they have to deal with Sony and any input they may have in the finished film.
But it would seem that Holland has been perfectly cast for the role and he brings with him a youthful exuberance that I think may have been missing in the last two Spider-Man series. I just can’t see Toby Maguire or Andrew Garfield saying that line and making it work as well as Holland did.

It has me looking forward to Spider-Man: Homecoming even more than I was already.
That, and the rest of the trailer is pretty awesome as well.
