Preview: Civil War II: Gods Of War #1 From Marvel Comics

Thanks to Marvel Comics we have a preview of the first issue of Civil War II: Gods of War featuring Hercules.
With the first shots of Marvel’s latest event fired in the pages of Civil War II Free Comic Book Day Special and Civil War II #0 hitting shelves in a matter of weeks, it’s a safe bet that you won’t be able to avoid it even if you wanted to.
Civil War II sees the heroes of the Marvel Universe divided over what should happen to Ulysses, an Inhuman with the power to predict the future. Should they use his abilities to act proactively or let the future unfold as intended?
In addition to the main miniseries and all the tie-ins with various ongoing titles, Marvel is also launching a number of limited series that will focus on assorted members of the Marvel Universe and where they stand in the conflict. Are they with Team Iron Man or Team Captain Marvel?

One of those heroes is former Avenger Hercules, the Prince of Power. The might of a God could go a long way towards tipping the scales one way or another. But how can Herc choose between two people he considers friends?
That is the question at the center of Civil War II: God of War #1. Written by Dan Abnett with art by Emilio Laiso, the series will bring Hercules and a number of his fellow Gods right into the middle of Civil War II.
From the Marvel press release:
"As war grips the Marvel Universe, Hercules will ask himself – what role should a God play in the conflict of mortals? Is he responsible for a larger role in the potential destruction of the Marvel Universe? Or should he intervene and change history? Joined by fellow Gods Gilgamesh, Sigurd, Lorelei, Beowulf and Theseus – Hercules and his pantheon of ancient comrades charge headlong into battle. With the heart and soul of the Marvel Universe at stake – these immortal warriors could turn the tide for either team. But which side are they on?"
