It is the best of both worlds if you are a fan of comic books and World Wrestling Entertainment. Boom! Studios has teamed up with WWE to return the largest professional wrestling promotion company in the world back in a comic book medium.

Boom! Studios is the company that gave the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers their self-titled series which is excellent.

The official logistics of the deal has yet to be smoothed out. But for the time being, both sides seem excited about embarking on this new partnership. This is not WWE’s first time and probably will not be the last that WWE will have their comic books. Valiant comics released WWF Battlemania in 1991, Krozer by WWF Magazine during the mid-nineties, and WWE Heroes by Titan Comics during the mid-2000s.

The public does not know for sure what the new series will be about, but any story that involves John Cena, Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose or any other WWE superstar saving the world from imminent danger is sure to be a thriller.

Boom! Studios Editor-in-Chief Matt Gagnon is extremely excited about this new venture—a partnership with WWE:

"Here at Boom! We’re thrilled to be a part of WWE’s return to the comic book medium. The WWE Universe is a passionate fanbase, and we aim to provide them with the comic series they’ve always wanted — a series featuring their favorite Superstars and storylines, a series that highlights the incredible history of the brand. An authentic series that matters."

Casey Collins, WWE’s executive vice president of consumer products, is also eager for this partnership to work:

"Boom! is one of the fastest-growing comic book publishers in the industry and their vision for the WWE brand showed us exactly why, we were blown away by the level of detail and creativity and are confident the WWE Universe and comic book fans will agree."

The two companies premiered the official cover featuring the franchise of World Wrestling Entertainment, John Cena. The cover is by none other than Jamal Campbell (Uncanny Inhumans Annual #1, Guardians of Infinity, Persona 5)

There are variant covers of The Boss Sasha Banks and the staple The New Day (Big E, Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston) by Boom! Studios illustrator Dan Mora (HexedKlaus, Quixote).
