By D. Goodman
Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds had some fun with fans and revealed that the sequel has officially cast Zazie Beetz in the role of Domino.
If Ryan Reynolds is to be believed, Deadpool 2 has cast the role of Domino.
Other than who is going to play Cable, fans have been speculating like mad as to who would win the coveted role of lethal mercenary. For a while it seemed as if Kerry Washington all but had the part wrapped up while Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Lizzy Caplan had also been mentioned over the last few months.
Turns out everyone was completely off base.

On Thursday Reynolds revealed that Zazie Beetz has been cast as Domino in Deadpool 2. Beetz has most recently been seen in the television series Atlanta and in the films Finding Her and Applesauce. Playing Domino will no doubt send her career in a new and exciting direction seeing as she is now part of the X-Men Cinematic Universe and will in all likelihood also be in the upcoming X-Force film.
Of course, this being Deadpool and Ryan Reynolds, the casting couldn’t just take the form of a simple press release. Reynolds had to make it a bit more interesting.
Reynolds posted the following image on his Twitter account and let fans theorize away.
He then followed that with something a bit more concrete.
Now that Deadpool 2 has cast Domino, the big question is who will end up playing the key role of Cable. While numerous names have been considered for the role, no one has come out as the front runner yet.
The casting of Cable and Domino was seen as key to making sure Deadpool 2 not only replicated the success of the original but that it would work as a springboard for the X-Force movie and what might be thought of as an R-rated subset of the larger X-Men Cinematic Universe.
