Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 Will Involve A Visit To Earth
By Steve Lam
A special Jimmy Kimmel Live! segment reveals Earth’s involvement in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
“When will the Guardians of the Galaxy meet up with the Avengers?”
That has been the burning question on fans’ minds since the introduction of our wacky, misfit heroes. A special segment on Jimmy Kimmel Live! revealed that at least one scene will involve Earth.
Kevin Feige has never been shy about confirming a Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers team-up. However, the “when” of this partnership-of-awesome is the big question. Recent footage shows that it could happen as early as this May.

Jimmy Kimmel and Guillermo were at it again this week when the host introduced a segment that was filmed over a year ago. The footage had Guillermo going on a mission to meet the cast and crew of the upcoming, highly anticipated film (which was still in production at the time).
The segment had the usual Guillermo-esque antics. But when director James Gunn stepped in, things got interesting. We were shown cops (one of them being Guillermo), a street full of people, and—later—a threatening amorphous entity gobbling up a town. All of this confirmed that the film will involve Earth in some capacity.
Could the Avengers make their cameo during this scene? Or, at least, a subset of the famed team? That would make one heck of a post-credits scene and a great segue into Avengers: Infinity War.
