Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi just can’t help himself. The man’s roots are in acting, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that he’ll also be playing a role in the upcoming third outing for the God of Thunder.

During a Marvel Studios tour that The Wrap was privy to, director Taika Waititi announced that Korg the Kornan will be appearing in Thor: Ragnarok. Along with early designs and visual effects tests, Waititi gave this description of the character:

"“Being so big he’s a slugger, he’s not very graceful. He sort of hits hard.”"

However, the news doesn’t just end there. Here’s the real fun part: Waititi will be playing the part of the character himself. The studio soon played some behind-the-scenes footage of the funnyman in a motion-capture suit acting opposite Chris Hemsworth.

If Waititi is playing the character, you can almost guarantee that he’s going to add some humor to Korg, as the director is known for his unique brand of comedy.
