More from Movies

Not much is known about Aquaman, but it seems that the hero is already making quite a splash (pun intended) with audiences. Interest for the character and his first solo movie has been high ever since his cameo in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Although that movie didn’t pan out too well with the critics, it did serve as a launching ground for the various Justice League members and their future individual films. Think of it as one big trailer/preview.

However, interest for Aquaman isn’t just centered around the King of the Seven Seas. There’s also been a lot of buzz about the cast. And the one supporting character fans are talking about the most is Amber Heard’s Mera. Today, director James Wan gives us a new image of the character.

The picture is proof that Aquaman is in good hands. The suit and the make-up are on point—a great translation to live-action, yet still being faithful to the source material. Let’s hope they don’t desaturate the colors, like in most Zack Snyder-produced films, and keep the vivid green and bright red of Heard’s hair.
